As you can see, we get a little excited around here about Saint Patrick’s Day. The McGowan household is all green today, and as of 9:00 a.m. this morning Colton, our grandson, officially turned 2 years old.
We did manage to find the lamb, at a hefty price I might add, so the Irish stew is on the menu for later on. In a few hours we get to go to one of those kid’s birthday parties (for Colton) at some bouncy place. It’s one of those fun places that kids love to hang out where they have all kinds of jumpy and bouncy things. Don’t really know for sure since we’ve never been there, but it’s always fun to just watch the kids get wild and crazy and have a good time.
Quite frankly, Colton doesn’t even understand it’s his birthday today. We called him this morning to tell him “Happy Birthday” and he didn’t seem to know or care what we were talking about. Oh well, sometimes the kids birthdays just have to be all about the celebrating whether they understand what the day is all about or not.
Hope you all have a Happy St. Patty’s Day and don’t forget to wear your lucky green!
Our grandson’s, Colton, birthday gift just arrived yesterday, and I’m so excited. Wasn’t sure what to expect (since I ordered it from my own toy store online), but we were very pleasantly surprised.
Since his birthday is also Saint Patrick’s Day we kept with the green theme on this kids birthday gift. I’m sure someday he’ll be telling us to “stop already with the green stuff”, but since he’s only turning 2 we can still get away with it.
I mean c’mon. Who wouldn’t want to have their birthday on Saint Patrick’s Day. It’s not like everyone is celebrating Christmas or something and you have to share your day with everyone else. Saint Patrick’s Day is just one big wild party already, so someday I’m sure he’ll be thankful that all his friends want to go out and celebrate his birthday with him!
Anyway, here’s the gift. Like I said…I bought it from my own online toy store so there’s a bit of self-promotion here. But really I just wanted to share it with everyone. Since Colton’s not old enough to read yet he’ll never know!
THE BIG REVEAL!!!
Can’t wait until he sees this new little cool ride-on toy. Maybe now we can get rid of the 26 year old wagon and he can propel himself around in this scoot-a-long toy instead of grandma and grandpa doing all the hard pulling work.
